What is the perspective equation of reading letter-forms today? Monylop is a new monospaced lettertype for 2020. Each character vector point in Monylop is rounded to the nearest 5, even on bézier curves of which are refrained from snapping, taking the polynomial discriminative span to a certain degree.

Monospace typefaces were originally designed to fit the basic sequencing mechanics of typewriters, which allowed for easy editing capabilities, space requirement calculation and alignment for drawing tables.
2.  In 1961 IBM Office Products Division released the Selectric typewriter, a digital-to-analogue converter system with interchangeable ‘typeball’ elements. A motor drives the type-head across the page, encoded in binary, to print the 6-Bit character data-sequence. Within a few years, IBM Selectric became the most popular typewriter due to its ease in typing (and erasing).
3.  In 1964 IBM introduced the Selectric with magnetic tape in order to record, store and retype data. Word-processing from a computer in Syntax mark-up language later allowed for typesetting via graphical user-interface software.
4.  Dyson and Holdsworth write ‘Mil is an important communication channel for certain kinds of message […] Mils are sent to managers in two different forms. The first is a typed paper document and the second is a screen document on PROFS’.

5.Monylop is a digital OpenType typeface which considers traditions of design theory on clarity to maximise functionality. Enhanced word recognition falls logic to the high density stroke variant which is minimised to 25% contrast, with exaggerations where desired. This results in an acceleration of reading pace. Narrow in width, Monylop encourages reading in paragraphs, allowing for smaller body-text sizes and slender columns.
6.  Modern display units and faster download times have allowed typefaces for the internet to offer enhanced contours. A significant amount of additional RAM render-strain is avoided when displaying lengthy monospaced texts. Monospace typesetting triggers a constant, sequential read for both man and machine.
7.  Monylop is built on units rounded to the nearest 5. This shifts the development process into a standard, conclusive tempo, congruent with the requirements of screen hinting.
8.  Enlarged monospace typefaces tend appear to overide the primary purpose of the function – originating from typewriters. And therefore, often look out of touch with scale. Monylop embraces heavy punctuation and dots. 6.5 pixels is the standard body-text size.

9.The italic counterpart to Monylop interrupts the reception. Split once, all strokes are repelled horizontally from origin. Some edges are simply sliced away, in order to remain within monospace.
10.  The idea to fracture the face to generate the italic responds to the screen-phreaking experiment demonstrated by scientist Wim van Eck in the early nineteen eighties.₅ The striped IBM logo (1967) by Paul Rand was released in the same year open literature was written on the theory, his design is horizontal.₆
11.  Although monitor screens of today are set at a higher bandwidth, they are still liable to transmission through electromagnetic pixel-radiation on shortwave radio spectrum frequencies.₇ Data (usually text) is left unprotected.
